How long will it take to get a hand painted portrait?

Turnaround time is 4-5 weeks. After an order is placed, we will update you once a week on the status of the order. We do not offer expedited service. If we offered a faster service, we’d have to sacrifice quality, and that is not something we are willing to do.

What options are available for paying for my order?

Paypal payment is the main option now. Please note that you don't have to own a Paypal account to pay, you just need to click the paypal button and it will allow you to pay by credit card, master card etc.

If you want other payment methods, please contact us.

What types of files do you accept?

We can accept photographs in a number of popular formats (.jpeg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .tiff). Don't worry about the file size, the larger the better. A large picture will allow our artists to better see the details and intricacies need to create an incredible finished portrait.

If you send us a poor quality photo, it will be difficult for our artist to produce a high quality portrait for you.

My photograph is not in a digital format. What can I do?

You can take your photograph to Kinkos or a local copy center and scan it, then place the order on line or send to us by email.

I can't decide which photograph will make a better portrait. Can you help?

Of course we can! Simply send us the photographs that you are considering. We will have an artist look over your submissions, and can make a recommendation on which photo would make a better portrait, and why.

Can two (or more) photographs be combined to make one portrait?

Yes, in many cases our artist can combine multiple photos to create one beautiful portrait. Please email us with the photos so we can confirm this.

Is it really hand painted? Can I see the brush strokes?

Yes, it is hand painted! To prove it to you, we've created a video of one of our artists painting a portrait.

Brush strokes will be obvious is some paintings, but not others. In portraits with great detail, each brush stroke has to be precise and may not be visible. When the background (or large areas of a similar color) are painted, that is when the brush strokes are sometimes more obvious. Lighting can also determine how visible brush strokes are on the canvas.

Can my painting be hung on the wall the day I get it?

If you choose to have your painting stretched on canvas, it will arrive ready to be hung.

What size should I choose?

We've created a helpful resource to help you visualize the size of the painting on a wall.

What is the difference between "stretched" and "rolled in tube"?

If you choose to have your painting rolled in a tube, the canvas will be rolled up and shipped to you in a tube. You can then take the canvas to a local framing shop and have it stretched and framed locally.

We’ve created a page dedicated to explain what it means to have a painting stretched.

Do you offer framing?

No, at this time we do not offer framing options.

How will my order be shipped? What if it's damaged when it arrives?

We ship all of our paintings through FedEx Ground. We cannot ship to a Post Office Box, so please make sure that you provide us with a real, physical address for delivery. All of our paintings are fully insured. If your painting arrives and the box is visibly damaged in any way, please notify the delivery person immediately.

Do I get to see my artwork before I receive it?

We will gladly provide a photograph of the finished painting through e-mail so that you can see what it looks like before we ship. If you are not completely satisfied with the work that you have received, we will gladly make any changes that you request for absolutely no charge to you. We will not send your painting to you until you have approved it and are completely satisfied with the end result.

Will I receive a notification from your company after I place the order?

Yes, we will contact you soon after an order is placed. We will take the opportunity to tell you if your photo is suitable for our artist or not, and confirm any special instructions that you may have.

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, we do. If you are not located in the United States, please contact us so we can give you an accurate shipping quote for you order.

I want to order more than one portrait. Do you offer discounts?

We are more than willing to work with you on pricing if you are ordering several paintings from us. For more information on discount possibilities, please contact us.

How do I know if I will like my painting?

After our artist finishes your portrait, we will take a photo of the painting and send it to you for review. You can make suggestions and changes if you need them at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. Once you approve the end result of the painting, we will prepare it for shipment directly to you. We will not ship a painting if you are not 100-percent satisfied with it. If you are still unhappy with your painting after the necessary changes have been made, contact us and we will refund your money in full.

Do you offer any guarantees or warranties?

Yes! Most of our paintings are backed by a 100% Money Back Guarantee. In some situations, the painting is not covered by the warranty. If the painting is not covered by the warranty, we'll notify you before we begin the painting.

I have a special request; how do I contact the painter?

Please contact us directly with your specific request and we will make sure the artist follows your instructions.
